Better Food Stories: HeroFuel

This is episode seven of the Better Food Stories interview series, which includes conversations with the entrepreneurs behind some of today’s newest and most innovative food brands.

Reid Pearson started HeroFuel with his wife Cassidy.

They say that if you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life. For food entrepreneur Reid Pearson, the founder HeroFuel, it wasn’t so much his passion for food that led him to start a food company. But rather, his passion for sports.

HeroFuel is a protein bar designed just for kids. But not just any kids. HeroFuel is on a mission to fuel competitive young athletes ages 8–15.

In my conversation with Reid, you’ll learn:

  • How HeroFuel is dispiriting the protein bar space with a product geared toward a new generation of athletes

  • How face-to-face interaction has been instrumental in helping HeroFuel sell their products online

We also dive deep into my favorite topic as a copywriter, brand story. Specifically, how HeroFuel has been able to craft a unique brand story that has not only helped them sell products, but build a community of passionate young athletes on social media.
